Feeding by corn rootworm (CRW) larvae can cause root lodging, which can reduce the potential for yield maximization. Fields must be scouted consistently for CRW throughout the growing season, and in some cases, the season before corn is planted. Crop rotation should be the primary consideration for any field which has been planted to 3 or more years of continuous corn and has experienced CRW performance issues.
