5.5 Bu/A Advantage in Side-By-Side Trials

Asgrow Soybeans Are Proven to Yield

Side-by-side trials conducted nationwide during the 2013 growing season showed that soybean farmers can have clean fields and higher yield potential when they plant Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans.

Participating farmers who planted Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans — and utilized Roundup Ready PLUS® Crop Management Solutions — achieved an average yield advantage of 5.5 Bu/A* compared to the LibertyLink® soybean system.

The 2013 side-by-side trials were conducted by Monsanto at 31 locations in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio and Wisconsin. The purpose was to demonstrate that farmers don't have to sacrifice yield by switching to the LibertyLink® system to control resistant weeds.

By harvest, farmers found that their Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans out-yielded LibertyLink® by an average of 5.5 Bu/A. With full implementation of Asgrow’s recommended management practices, farmers could increase this yield advantage. These trials have proven that Asgrow® soybean farmers can have clean fields without sacrificing higher yield.

*Data represents Monsanto Weed Management Systems Comparisons as of November 20, 2013. Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® seed products and Roundup Ready PLUS® Weed Management Solutions were evaluated against LibertyLink® seed products and Liberty® herbicide program using independent weed control systems. Both systems included the use of residual herbicides. Average weed control for both systems was equal.
